Magnetic Separators

Magnetic Seperators

  Receiving Belt Magnet

Permanent Stationary

RECEIVING BELT MAGNETS are designed to remove both large and small types of tramp metal from product streams conveyed by belts for speeds up to 700 feet per minute. The tramp metal that is captured by the magnet accumulates across the entire magnetic face, substantially increasing the amount of tramp iron the magnet can retain before cleaning is required. Operation: Magnet consists of a large plate magnet mounted inside a support frame and suspended over the conveyed product stream. The receiving belt magnet should be suspended approximately 5 to 8 inches above the product stream for optimum tramp metal removal. The magnet should be located in an area that has easy access to allow for proper maintenance. Also, the magnet should operate in an area of the belt where no integral parts of the conveyor can become magnetized; such as idler rollers or belting support plates, as this may cause excessive wear on the conveyor system. To clean the magnet, simply turn the collection pan winch to draw the pan across the magnet face. The pan retains the tramp metal as it is removed from the magnet. Once the pan is drawn entirely across the magnet face, it can be removed, emptied and re-installed on its track and positioned back to the magnet's far side.

 Cross Belt Separator

Permanent Cross Belt

Suspended Permanent Magnet CROSS BELTSEPARATORS are specifically designed to produce the most effective removal of nwanted tramp iron from heavy burden depths of material being conveyed on fast moving conveyor belts. They are ideal for  separating tramp metal from wet or dry, fine or course conveyed materials in large or small volumes. Safe and assured ramp iron extraction from product streams protects processing machinery, prevents fire or explosions caused by sparks, and improves product quality. The lower profile design allows for nstallations where space is limited. Operation: Self-Cleaning Permanent Magnet Separators include a conveyor belt moving around the magnet to automatically remove the collected tramp iron from the magnet's face. These  separators feature rubber conveyor belts, adjustable take-ups, ugged steel channel frame and a shaft mounted speed reducer with direct drive motor.

Electromagnetic Receiving Belt Magnet (ERBM Series)

Electro-magnetic Stationary

ELECTROMAGNETIC RECEIVINGBELT MAGNETS (ERBM Series) are designed to remove both large and small types of tramp iron from product streams conveyed by vibratory bed or belts with speeds up to 700 ft. per minute. Operation: This magnet is a powerful oil-cooled electromagnetic plate magnet, suspended over the conveyed product stream. The magnet should be located in an area on the production line that allows easy access for proper maintenance of the magnet and it should be operated in an area where no intregal parts of the conveying system can become magnetized; such as idler rollers, pulleys or belt  support plates.

Electro-magnetic Cross Belt

SUSPENDED ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATORS are specifically designed

Electromagnetic Cross Belt

to produce the most effective magnetic force available. The cooling system is engineered to allow the coil to operate at extremely high intensity while remaining relatively cool in its frame. Transformer oil in and around the parts of the coil windings keeps all components at the same temperature. Standard Features:

• 5 HPmotors (models 48 & above)
• 3 HPmotors (models 42 & below)
• Shaft mounted speed reducers
• Self-aligning re-greasable pillow block bearings
• Non-magnetic belt fasteners
• 3-ply non-endless rubber belts with vulcanized rubber
cleats
• Texaco (ASTM D3487) transformer cooling oil. (spec.
sheet available upon request)
• Chain drive
Optional Features:
Abroad selection of options are available to provide peak
production in uncommon or involved applications.
Some of these are:
• Steel dust enclosures for magnet installations in dusty
locations
• Zero-speed switches
• Special belts for abrasive, hot or special applications
• Non-flammable coolant
• Static-conducting belts
• Belt sheave drive
• NEMA4 enclosure
